“Solidarity with Rojava” concert in Erciş

KURDÎ-DER (Kurdish Language Union) Erciş Branch organized a concert in solidarity with the people of Rojava, West Kurdistan.

Thousands joined the concert in Erciş Closed Sport Center which was covered with posters of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) Leader Abdullah Öcalan, and flags of PKK. The banners read “"Rojava is the revolution of woman, we salute the revolution of Rojava".

The photo of Sevim Kaya (Viyan Mamxurî), who joined the fronts of YPG (People's Defense Units) and then lost her life in clashes with armed gangs in Rojava, and also the posters of three Kurdish woman politicians, Leyla Şaylemez, Fidan Doğan and Sakine Cansız, were hung in the hall. People joining the concert wore local dresses and danced halays for hours.

"Long live Leader Apo", "We are all PKK" and "Long live resistance of YPG" were the main slogans chanted by people in the concert hall. Artist Seyda Perinçek sang Kurdish songs.

Speaking here, KURDÎ-DER executive Cevdet Zilanlı stated that the income of the concert will be sent to Rojava. Zilanlı also noted that they dedicated the concert to one of the educators of TZP Kurdî, Mrs. Sevim Kaya (Viyan Mamxurî) who lost her life in a clash in Rojava.
