The AKP government is furthering its operations of political genocide across the country as it on the other hand continues murdering civilians in the Kurdish region.

NUSAYBİN

Police teams raided many houses in Duruca neighborhood of Mardin's Nusaybin district where a fifth curfew continues in its second day. Five people were detained in the operations by special operation teams who broke the doors of the houses targeted at 05:00 this morning. The detainees were taken to Nusaybin police station.

On the other hand, police teams that blockaded Nusaybin State Hospital today have detained 3 people going to the hospital.

İZMİR

Masses gathered at Kıbrıs Şehitler Avenue to protest the detention operation against executives and members of ESP (Socialist Party of the Oppressed) and SGDF (Federation of Socialist Youth Associations) two days ago.

Police attacked the crowd without any warning and battered the demonstrators as 14 of them were taken into custody in the crackdown. The detainees also suffered violence in the police bus into which they were forced to be taken to police station.

ŞIRNAK

Turkish army has ended the expansive military operation launched in Şırnak's Besta region with the participation of village guards on 4 December.

While no information is yet available as to the situation in "Martyr Rojhat and Marty Zelal Cemetery" in the area of the operation, soldiers detained a couple, Emine Ötün and Hamit Ötün, in Dedeören village in Besta region yesterday. The two were reportedly forced to walk 60 km to the police directorate in Şırnak centre.

ADANA

One person was detained as police teams conducted raids in Yeşilbağlar neighborhood of Adana's Yüreğir district this morning. Detainee Metin Ekinci was taken to Adana police directorate.

On the other hand, a person by the name of Cumali Güven was taken into custody for a second time after a detention and release in Seyhan district of Adana the day before. Güven is suspected to be linked to the armed attack that targeted the police station in Denizli neighborhood on 24 November.

VAN

Özgür Halk (Free Folk) magazine staff Hasan Öner was detained by police in Saray district of Van where he had gone earlier today for the distribution of the magazine's new issue. Subjected to an ID check soon after entering the district, Öner was taken to the police station.
