Yekitiya Star is continuing to work for the organization and training of women in Rojava. It has most recently opened the Star Academy of Thought in Efrin as part of its works in the area of women.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Academy, Yekitiya Star member Cîhan Efrîn called on all women to join the academy to diplay a stance against the Ba'ath regime's policies against women. Efrîn noted that the Academy would host not only Kurdish but also Arab and Christian women and added that all women should improve themselve in academic area.
