Youth organizations organised a protest in Kadıköy after students Sibel Ünli and Hakan Taşdemir ended their life.
Students chanted the slogan "This is not a suicide, it is a murder" and carried a banner saying "There is no liberation alone, either all or none of us".
The demonstrators were first surrounded by police and then attacked. Seven people were beaten and taken into custody in the attack. The police also tried to prevent journalists from taking pictures.
