Süphan Çabuk to be buried in Kulp

The body of Süphan Çabuk, who died in Kalkandere Prison, was taken from ATK by his family.

Süphan Çabuk was jailed in Amed in 2016 and has been held in Rize Kalkandere L-Type Prison since 16 January 2020. He died after his right to treatment was denied in the hospital where he was taken on Wednesday after he got worse.

Çabuk's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute (ATK) for autopsy. His family, who went to Rize from Amed, received it.

Members and executives of the Association for the Assistance of the Families of Detainees (TUAY-DER) and the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) accompanied the family who took the body from the ATK and set out for the Kulp, in the province of Amed, Çabuk's hometown.

The body of Süphan Çabuk will be buried in Kulp district.
