Sur co-mayors sent to Erzurum prison
Filiz Buluttekin and Cemal Özdemir, co-mayors of Sur Municipality, were arrested after being dismissed and being replaced by Ankara regime-appointed trustees. The co-mayors have been transferred to Erzurum.

Filiz Buluttekin and Cemal Özdemir, co-mayors of Sur Municipality, were arrested on 23 December and jailed in Amed.
Buluttekin was exiled to Erzurum E Type Women Closed Prison and Özdemir was deported from Amed D Type Closed Prison to Erzurum H Type Closed Prison.
Dispersion, another torture
Dispersion, so commonnly used by the Spanish state with Basque political prisoners, is yet another form of torture. It means that one prisoner is transferred thousands of Km away from his relatives and this makes it often impossible for families to go and visit their relatives.
At the weekend, Adnan Topçu, co-mayor of Bulanik district in Muş, was deported from Muş E Type Closed Prison to Maraş. Topçu was taken into custody on 17 December, and a day later a trustee was appointed and the co-mayor was remanded in custody.
Varto Municipality co-mayor Ülkü Karaaslan was deported from Muş to Osmaniye and nine political prisoners in Osmaniye T Type Prison were also deported to other prisons.
Karaaslan was transferred from Muş E Type Prison to Osmaniye No. 1 Closed Type Prison on 26 December.
On 27 December, 15 prisoners in Kayseri Bünyan T Type Prison were reportedly deported to different prisons without their families being informed.
Ipekyolu (Van) Municipality co-mayors Şehsade Kurt and Azim Yacan were sent from Van to Erzurum on 30 November. Both co-mayors were arrested on 11 November.
