Suwediye town in western Raqqa encircled amid violent clashes
Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) fighters are making further advances towards Raqqa in the scope of the ongoing Operation Wrath of Euphrates.
As the military campaign to liberate Raqqa from ISIS occupation continues at full force in its 42nd day, Wrath of Euphrates fighters have advanced up to the Suwediye town to the west of Raqqa this morning.
According to reports coming through, violent clashes with ISIS gangs are taking place at the entrance of the town after it was encircled by Wrath of Euphrates fighters. Clashes here are reported to be ongoing.
The town of Suwediye is where the bomb-laden vehicles and reinforcements of ISIS gangs are sent from.
