Syriacs in Europe ask for votes for HDP and Demirtaş

The HDP is carrying out election work in Europe.

Syriacs living in Sweden are meeting with church leaders and making home visits, trying to ensure the largest Assyrian-Syriac participation to the Turkish early elections. Citizens living abroad with the right to vote will be able to exercise their right in Stockholm on 16-17 June.

From Suryoyo Tv, Assyrian-Syriac-Chaldean people are invited to go to the polls and vote for the HDP (Peoples’ Democratic Party) and Selahattin Demirtas.

The Mesopotamian Freedom Party has also written and spoken to the Syriac community informing them about the elections.

Mardin HDP candidate, Tuma Steel, has been visiting Germany to carry out elections work there.

Visiting the Syriac Orthodox Church in Bremen, Çelik, together with Foreign Relations Officer Mor Severyos, held a meeting with Hanna Aydin. Later, Tuma held a public meeting in the church and had the opportunity to explain the party’s proposals.

He then visited Bremen Church officials and asked them to support HDP in the elections.

The elections in Turkey are to be held on 24 June 24. Çelik said the Syriac community has a big contribution to give and remarked that this election is important because it will define the future of the peoples of Turkey.

The HDP candidate invited the Assyrian-Syriac-Chaldean people living in Europe to support and vote for the HDP, the only party defending their rights.
