Turkish military deployed 10 tanks in Kızıltepe district of Mardin where tension remains high after demonstration for Kobanê turned violent as a result of brutal police intervention on thousands who have gathered to protest the ongoing attacks of ISIS gangs on Kobanê.

Gendarme units have been assisting police forces as mass demos in the district continue for two days and a curfew was declared today afternoon, followed by the murder of a youth as unidentified perpetrators opened fire on the mass in the evening.

The tanks have been deployed at various locations in the city centre where clashes between demonstrators and security forces are continuing.
