Four out of eight people who were taken into custody in the province of Şırnak two days ago have been arrested and sent to Mardin E Type closed prison.
Detainees Ali Tetik, Nurettin Erkul, Agit Can and İzzet Yıldız are accused of being members of an illegal organization, and aiding and abetting the organisation.
On the other hand, nine minors among the 18 people who were detained in Şırnak's Cizre district the day before were released after bearing testimony to police, while a minor, aged 16, has been referred to court with arrest demand.
The other eight minors detained in the operation are still being held at prosecution office, facing allegations of being members of the Movement of Patriotic and Revolutionary Youth (YDG-H).
On the other hand, six people have been remanded in custody in Kars after being detained in relation with the demo they joined on 8 December to protest the murder by police of Kurdish civilians in Hakkari's Yüksekova district.
The expansive police operation targeted eight houses and ended up with the detention of 11 people among whom three were released and two others were brought under judicial control after being referred to court this morning.
