At least ten people were taken into custody in the southern province of Mersin on Wednesday evening.
BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) Youth Assembly members staged a torch march in the Akdeniz neighborhood to protest the murder by police of three Kurdish civilians, Mehmet İşbilir, Reşit İşbilir and Bemal Tokçu, in Gever, Hakkari's Yüksekova district last week.
Police attacked the march and detained at least ten people who included six minors.
The minors are currently being held at the juvenile department of Mersin police directorate, and denied permission to see their lawyers. Detainees have reportedly been subjected to assaults by police officers in custody.
