Artists within TEV-ÇAND, the organization responsible for cultural and artistic activities in Europe, issued a statement of support for the Green Left Party.

Kurdish artists attended in the statement made at the TEV-ÇAND building in Cologne. Speaking on behalf of the artists, Hozan Diyar stated that the people should take a stand at the elections against the denial-destruction and war policies developed by the AKP against the Kurdish people, and said that if the AKP wins, it will deepen the war against the Kurds.

Hozan Diyar said: “We artists find these elections historic. The AKP-MHP war government, which has been in power for 20 years, has put all its resources into use to destroy the gains of our people. They are terrorizing our people. If we could overthrow this war government with the will of our people in these elections, we would have taken a step on the road to freedom. Let's cast our vote and destroy the bastion of cruelty. If the AKP-MHP fascist government comes to power again, they will pursue death, exile and prison for our people. Our mountains will be bombed again. They will kill our children. This fascist government and its leader announce every day that new prisons will be opened for Kurds. This government will not stop until it destroys the achievements of our people. This is a historic opportunity because we can overthrow this government through democracy and elections. Our people's culture of resistance and democracy sets an example for the peoples of the Middle East and Turkey. Let's make good use of this opportunity. Let's overthrow this war and the fascist government. Let's throw it into the dustbin of history."
