TEV-ÇAND members take over the vigil for Öcalan’s freedom in Strasbourg

The Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan Vigil was launched on 25 June 2012 in Strasbourg with the aim of ensuring the physical freedom of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan and breaking the absolute isolation imposed on him. The vigil continues in its 568th week.
Members of the Kurdish Culture and Arts Movement in Europe, TEV-ÇAND, took over the vigil this week. The group is made up of Hozan Şemdîn, Dawud Kobanê, Serhat Amed and Rêzan Mahîr.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Hozan Şemdîn highlighted the vigil and vowed to continue their vigil until Öcalan is freed.
