Tevgera Azadî published a message on the occasion of 4 April, the birthday of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Tevgera Azadî said that the "Kurdish People's Leader devoted his whole life to the struggle for freedom and dignity of the Kurdish people", and added that "he has been held captive in Imrali Prison for 24 years by the guards of world fascism and colonialism, without any rights or justice. This situation also means the continuation of the policy of exterminating the Kurdish people."

The statement drew attention to the need to break the heavy isolation conditions imposed on Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan, and added: "We must liberate our Leader and break the isolation system. This is a humanitarian duty, responsibility and struggle for us women, young people and freedom fighters. We will continue to resist and struggle against all obstacles."
