The Progressive International issued a statement to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Rojava Revolution.

The statement said: "On this day 10 years ago, the ‘Rojava Revolution’ began in northern Syria. Since then, an autonomous administration has attempted to create a democratic, feminist and ecological society in the region."

The statement added: "But the revolution is under attack. Since 2016, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has ordered three invasions into Syrian territory — and continues to shore up international support, including weapons and training from NATO, for another attack.

That’s why the Autonomous Administration has recently declared a state of emergency. Against the continuing threats and attacks, the Progressive International stands with the Kurdish people and their revolutionary project."
