2,200 members of the United Metal Works Union under DİSK have gone on strike earlier today in 13 factories of Schneider Energy, Schneider Electric, General Electric and ABB. The strike locations are Istanbul, Kocaeli/Gebze, İzmir and Manisa.
It has been announced on Official Gazette that the strike has been postponed for 60 days with the approval of Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan, Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım and ministers on the grounds that it "threatens the national security".
