At least 20 thousand people have been waiting at Diyarbakýr airport for the coffins of Sakine Cansýz, Fidan Doðan and Leyla Þaylemez who were executed in Paris on 9 January.

Tomorrow a funeral ceremony will take place in the Kurdish city and tens of thousands are going to attend it.

At the airport as well as thousand of people were the city mayor, Osman Baydemir, BDP deputies and officials, DTK executives, the Peace Mothers Initiative among others.

The coffins were met by slogans and chants in a growingly emotional atmosphere.
