YPG (People's Defense Units) Press Centre has said in a written statement that the attacks of ISIS gangs aiming to occupy Kobanê continued on the 84th day.

The statement reported that YPG/YPJ units are making further advances at the city center while ISIS groups are endeavouring to accomplish a result by continuing their mortar attacks on civilian areas.

According to the statement, short time fighting raged out between YPG/YPJ fighters and gang groups on the eastern front last night. The number of casualties couldn't be made clear.

Noting that the YPG offensives on the southern front continue ceaselessly, the statement said YPG/YPJ units conducted an operation on areas occupied by the gangs last night, clearing three occupied positions on the southern front. The results of the operation couldn't be clarified yet as YPG/YPJ are continuing surveillance in the area.
