An unidentified object found by two children playing on the street exploded in Akçakale district of Urfa province located on the border with Syria Wednesday evening.

Both of the children, aged 12 and 15, and their mother suffered injuries as a result of the explosion. The children are treated in a nearby hospital. The 45-year-old mother, who suffered only mild facial injuries, is doing well in the current circumstances.

The exploded object is guessed to be a component used in the manufacture of bombs.
