Three politicians detained in Amed

Political genocide against the Kurdish people and politicians continues increasingly.

In tandem with the AKP regime’s seizure of municipalities of Amed, Van and Mardin, won by the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) in the local elections of March 31, the political genocide operations launched in 29 cities continue.

As part of the mass arrest campaign, Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Amed Branch Co-chair Garip Kandemir, HDP former Amed Branch Co-chair Mehmet Şerif Çamçı and Kayapınar Municipal Council member İsmail Bardakçı have been taken into custody.

The three politicians have been taken to the anti-terror branch of Diyarbakır Security Directorate.
