Three soldiers wounded in Maraþ

Three soldiers of the Turkish army were wounded as a result of an explosion which occurred as a military vehicle passed on a rural road near the eastern Pazarcýk district of province of Maraþ on Wednesday evening.

The injured were taken to Maraþ Necip Fazýl State Hospital for medical treatment. Following the explosion, the military launched an operation in the region.

On the other hand, clashes have been reported between Kurdish guerrillas and soldiers of the Turkish army as the region of Söðütlüçeþme on Dersim-Erzican road was bombarded with cobra type helicopters on Wednesday evening. Clashes, which didn’t last long, broke out after a group of People’s Defense Forces (HPG) guerrillas set three trucks and one fuel truck on fire at around 19:30 local time. Guerrillas closed the road to traffic for some time.
