Three people reported to be specialist sergeants have been targeted with an armed attack in Yüksekova district of Hakkari Saturday afternoon.

The attack carried out by unknown assailants on Cengiz Topel Street has left the three people severely wounded after being shot on the head with bullets.

As the wounded were rushed to hospital, police came to the scene after a long while, blockading the area with armored vehicles and attacking the people around with intense tear gas.

Shops in the district were closed after the conflict.
