Three soldiers of the Syrian army were killed in clashes between YPG (People's Defense Units) and Syrian military in the Kurdish neighborhood of Sheik Maksoud.

According to the reports by a source of YPG, units of the Syrian military launched an attack targeting the Mexselet El Cezira check point in the province of Aleppo late Friday.

The source said that three Syrian soldiers were killed and one other was wounded in the clashes that broke out after YPG's response to the attack. An armored vehicle of the Syrian military was also destroyed in the clashes.

According to the source, Syrian military forces have been attacking the Sheik Maksoud neighborhood with heavy weapons for some time now in order to take its control. The attacks of the regime forces are greatly damaging the neighborhood.

The source said Kurdish fighters protected their neighborhood and the people living there.
