TJA condemns the political genocide

TJA condemned the recent political genocide operations of the Turkish regime.

In a written statement, the Free Women's Movement (TJA) condemned the detention of 15 people, including their term spokesperson Ayşe Gökhan. The statement stressed that the crackdown on Gökkan represents the government’s misogynist policies.

The statement further said; "We appeal to the AKP-MHP government once again; we did never nor will ever bow down to your misogynist policies. We say to those who ignore us and do not recognize our will: there is something you have never learnt that no government can overthrow and suppress our resistance. If you think that you can defeat our struggle for women's freedom, you make a big mistake. You cannot silence women or prevent our struggle against women through detentions and arrests."

TJA demanded that the detainees be released immediately, saying; "The streets are ours, the struggle is ours".
