TKP/ML has announced the death of two fighters of its guerrilla organization TIKKO in Dersim and vowed that it will continue to pursue the "line of the people's war".

The Central Committee-Politburo of the Communist Party of Turkey/Marxist-Leninist (TKP/ML) has announced that two fighters of the guerrilla organization TIKKO (Liberation Army of the Workers and Peasants of Turkey) were martyred between October 1 and 4 in Ovacık district of Dersim. The two fighters are the area commander Özgür (Ali Kemal Yılmaz) and female fighter Asmin (Gökçe Kurban).

Ali Kemal Yılmaz, born in 1985 in Sivas, was politically active at the high school from the age of 16. Before joining the guerrilla in 2007, he worked as a cadre in various places. The TKP/ML described him as "courageous, determined and solution-oriented fighter who was always a "source of morale" even in the most difficult times.

TKP/ML said: "Now is the time to achieve the difficult and to realize the impossible. We will continue to fight even more resolutely and determinedly on the line of the people's war".
