The State of Emergency (OHAL) was declared in Turkey on July 20 after the failed coup attempt of July 15 during which hundreds were killed and more than two thousand got injured. After three months, the state of emergency was extended for three more months.
Turkish Parliament has last night approved a third consecutive extension of state of emergency as of January 19th since the coup attempt.
