Turkish army launched new operation in Þemdinli
Secret units of the Turkish army have launched an operation in the village of Derecik (Rubarok) in the district of Þemdinli (Þemzînan) where operations by the Turkish army and clashes with Peoples Defense Forces (HPG) guerrillas continue since 27 July.
Kurdish guerrilla forces have recently launched the Revolutionary Operation which aims and has so far achieved to ensure free areas. Many areas in Þemdinli region have been under the control of HPG guerrillas since the beginning of the revolutionary operation.
According to the reports received from local sources, the operation by secret units is conducted in the areas of Qelatê and Govend which have recently been closed to civilians by the Turkish army.
