Turkish military continues bombing Til Rıfat and Efrîn

Turkey has started to attack the town of Til Rıfat in the wake of its liberation by Jaysh Al-Thuwar yesterday evening.

The strategic town of Til Rıfat (Arpêt) north of Aleppo and 6 km south of Azaz, was liberated by combatants of Jaysh Al-Thuwar (The Army of Revolutionaries) at around 19:00 local time yesterday evening.

Turkish military launched an attack on the town and its surroundings soon after its liberation from AKP-backed Al-Nusra and Ahrar Al-Sham gangs.

On the other hand, howitzer and rocket attacks by the Turkish army also targeted villages of Efrîn city yesterday evening. 6 cannonballs fired by Turkey hit the village of Qîbarê, 3 km to Efrîn, which damaged many houses while no information was immediately available if the aggression has resulted in casualties.

Ongoing artillery strikes by Turkish military once again targeted the town of Til Rıfat and villages of Mayramia, Kefer Antewan, Maranas, Elqemiyê, Malikiyê and Minih today.

Attacks by the Turkish army are reported to be going on for the fourth day having already caused death of many civilians and injury of dozens.

In the meantime, United Nations (UN) Security Council will discuss the Turkish state's attack on YPG in Rojava, West Kurdistan on Russia's demand.

The closed meeting is expected to end with a call to Turkey to end its aggression on Syrian lands.
