Turkish PM criticizes media

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoðan has said in a television interview that the media "place really disturbing titles on everything." In a harsh but not new attack on media Erdoðan used his tv interview also to cast doubts on the recent 'detention' by PKK guerrillas of Dersim opposition deputy Hüseyin Aygün.

"Did they really kidnapped him? He returned after two days. He has not called them terrorists even once," Erdogan said. "The testimony is troubled at its core."

The prime minister also claimed the public believed the kidnapping to be a planned stunt. "We ran surveys on this," Erdoðan said. "54.7 percent believe it was planned by both sides. Only 21 percent believe it was a security breach."

As to the BDP, the prime minister, commenting on the pictures showing BDP deputies with Kurdish guerrillas said: "I do not recognize those deputies. That picture cannot be easily accepted."
