Two bomb-laden vehicles of ISIS destroyed in Raqqa

As the campaign for Raqqa’s liberation from ISIS continues, two bomb-laden vehicles of ISIS were destroyed and 4 ISIS members were killed.

The operation to liberate Raqqa launched by YPG-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) on June 6 continues at full force in its 70 day. SDF fighters are making further advances amid clashes across the city, the so-called capital of ISIS.

The neighborhood of Al-Barid has been scene to heavy clashes, in which 4 ISIS members were killed and two bomb-laden vehicles were destroyed. Fighting in the neighborhood continues.

Clashes between SDF and ISIS also continue in al-Diriyah, Nazlat Shehade and Mansur neighbourhoods, while Old Town Raqqa is witnessing brief clashes, and is calm at the moment.

On the other hand, SDF fighters continue their mop-up operations in liberated areas. During the cleaning efforts in the newly liberated Nazlat Shehade neighbourhood, SDF fighters seized several arms and a large quantity of ammunition belonging to the gangs, which include 1 thermal camera, one BKC weapon, two B7, two Kalashnikovs and 30 hand grenades.
