Two dead and over four thousands wounded in Taksim protests

According to a report prepared on the basis of figures announced by Medical Chambers and doctors, two people were killed and at least 4,177 people were wounded, 43 facing critical condition, as a result of violent police attacks against protestors in Taksim Gezi Park protests across the country.

The report includes the following figures recorded from 29 May to 4 June;

* Istanbul: One killed, 1,505 wounded, 12 being in critical condition. 880 people were hospitalized, 625 treated at voluntary medical rooms formed by people. Five in intensive care unit, two facing life-threatening situation, five lost their sight.

* Ankara: 1,088 wounded; 788 hospitalized and 300  treated at voluntary medical rooms. 19 are seriously wounded, with six among them having suffered head trauma, three loss of sight and one facing critical condition

* İzmir: 800 injured, two seriously wounded

* Antakya: One killed

* Adana 117 wounded, five seriously, five suffered head trauma

* Eskişehir: 300 wounded, 3 seriously, 2 in intensive care, one head trauma

* Muğla: 50 wounded, one seriously, 1 facing risk of loss of sight

* Bursa: 2 injured

* Balıkesir: 155 injured

* Kocaeli: 10 injured

* Antalya: 150  injured, 1 seriously, one lost sight

* More people were reported injured in 12 other cities. Figures on these will be disclosed later.
