The AKP regime continues intimidation practices geared towards the HDP MPs they fail to make surrender.

HDP Şırnak MP Leyla Birlik who made a press statement in front of the Mardin Type E Closed Prison on July 19, 2016 in solidarity with women prisoners protesting the communications ban, and HDP Mardin MP Gülser Yıldırım who is arrested awaiting trial in Kandıra Type F Closed Prison received 227 TL fines each. Mardin Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office Administrative Sanctions Bureau issued the decree that cited “ban on meetings and demonstrations” as the reason for the fine.
