The Jinên Tîrêjên Rojê Initiative hit police and prison guards in Istanbul with firearms and explosive devices. One police officer and one prison guard were injured.
The Jinên Tîrêjên Rojê Initiative announced the details of two actions carried out by the group in Istanbul on 1 December.
Accordingly, the female militia struck a prison guard's shelter with homemade explosive devices in Bakırköy district. Three prison guards' vehicles were set on fire and one prison guard was injured as a result of the attack.
In another action on the same day in Istanbul’s Göktürk district, the militia targeted a civilian police vehicle from two sides with homemade explosive devices and firearms. One policeman was seriously injured in the action.
The Initiative called for action against the isolation of Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan, saying, “The aggravated isolation of Abdullah Öcalan is becoming more serious day by day and we cannot receive any news about his health. All our units should expand their actions in the spirit of mobilization, destroy fascism and take to the streets wherever they are, and be the enemy's nightmare until we receive news from Öcalan,” the statement said.
