The villages of Al-Ferar and Sabahul Xêyr have been liberated by Wrath of Euphrates fighters on the eastern front of Raqqa, described as the third front of the operation to liberate the city from ISIS occupation. Fighters of the YPG-led Syrian Democratic Forces have made an advance of 20 kilometers at this front.

According to reports from the ground, SDF fighters have gained control over both villages in the wake of violent clashes that erupted Sunday evening and continued into this morning.

The strategically important village of Sabahul Xêyr was used by ISIS as a line of defense.
