Two policemen wounded in Mersin
Two policemen were wounded as a patrolling police vehicle was targeted by an armed attack in the southern province of Mersin on Sunday evening.
The wounded policemen were taken to hospital for treatment. None of the officers are said to be facing critical situation.
A number of police vehicles raided the scene, neighborhood of Yumuktepe, after the armed attack for which nobody has been taken into custody yet.
On the other hand, civilian Hüsnü Yiðit (33) was killed and minor A.S. (12) was injured in a mine explosion in the village of Kýzýlkaya (Kýzýlga) in Doðubayazýt (Aðrý) on Sunday.
The mine, reportedly laid by soldiers at Kýzýlkaya military post, exploded as Hüsnü Yiðit grazed his animals near the village. The seriously wounded child was taken to Doðubayazýt State Hospital for treatment.
