Two soldiers died, four wounded in HPG attacks
People’s Defense Forces (HPG) guerrillas carried out simultaneous attacks on two military posts in Dersim’s Nizamiye district on Saturday.
Two soldiers died and four others were wounded in the attacks on Gökçek Gendarmerie Command and Martyr Mehmet Gendarmerie Command both of which are around 25 kilometers far from the district.
Clashes at both scenes are reported to have lasted for a long time.
Separate clashes between People’s Defense Forces (HPG) guerrillas and Turkish military were reported at a military post in the village of Yiðitler affiliated to Nizamiye.
Clashes broke out after the post was raided by a group of HPG guerrillas. Many soldiers of the Turkish army are reported to have died in the attack on Saturday.
