Two specialized sergeants were reported dead and three others wounded in clashes between People’s Defense Forces (HPG) guerrillas and special operation teams of the Turkish army in Kazan Valley (Geliyê Tiyarê) in Hakkari’s Çukurca district on Wednesday.

Separate heavy clashes broke out in the rural areas of Silvan town of Diyarbakýr late Wednesday evening as the Turkish military intensely bombed the Üçdirek (Hýndese) hamlet, destroying numerous animals and starting fire in many fields. The non-intervened fire and Turkish army operation in the area are reported to be continuing.

On the other hand, a number of military helicopters have taken off from Diyarbakýr military airfield at early morning hours on Thursday.
