Two specialist sergeants died and many other Turkish soldiers were wounded in an explosion which occurred during the passage of a military convoy on Hakkari-Van way on Monday.

A military vehicle fell down into a valley and many ambulances were sent to the scene after the explosion. Wounded soldiers were taken to hospitals in Hakkari and Yüksekova.

Mountainous terrains in the region have been bombed by Turkish helicopters as the Turkish army launched an operation after the explosion.
