United States to impose sanctions on Turkey over S400
The US will place sanctions on Turkey for purchasing S-400 defense systems from Russia last year, Reuters reported.
The United States would impose sanctions on Turkey because of S-400 air defense system, which Turkey purchased from Russia last year, the US sources told Reuters.
Sources also noted that they expect a sanction decision to be announced today.
The sanctions concern Turkey’s defense industry and ministry and the Turkish presidency.
Two sources close to the case also said that US President Donald Trump instructed the authorities to impose sanctions.
