A group who call themselves the Martyr Harun Welat Vengeance Unit claimed responsibility for an armed attack against watchmen in Esenyurt, Istanbul on August 21. The group said they neutralized one watchman.
A statement was released signed by the Martyr Harun Welat Vengeance Unit that said, “Our members carried out a successful action in Esenyurt, Istanbul against watchmen of the fascist AKP-MHP in the night hours of August 21. One watchman was hit and neutralized in the action.”
The group said they will continue their actions: “The fascist AKP-MHP government’s police, watchmen, supporters, they are all our targets. While the war continues in Kurdistan, nobody should think that they can live comfortably in Turkey’s big cities.”
