"We will certainly celebrate 1 May!"

Parties and organizations said that 1 May should be celebrated, and called on people to organise celebrations everywhere.

Political parties, organizations and associations, issued various statements on International Workers' Day. The message emphasized that 1 May should be celebrated in various ways.

ESP: Let's reclaim the streets

ESP Central Executive Board said: "We, those who know the capital oligarchy and its fascist state well in this territory, should see that we will fall further back if we cannot liberate the banned squares, streets, workplaces, organized industrial centers on 1 May. We must organize the streets with a strike, resistance and demos to expose the decay of capitalism."

Revolutionary Front: The imperialist-capitalist system try to use the pandemic against workers

The Revolutionary Front said: "The imperialist-capitalist system is going through a difficult and troublesome process as a result of its policies that are hostile to human and nature. The creators of this have increased their attack policies to turn this process into opportunity to use against the working people."

The statement added: "All the measures they take against the Covid-19 outbreak are measures to protect and support the rich and exploiters, while forcing workers to work." 

The Revolutionary Front also called on people to celebrate Workers' Day in the streets, houses, squares giving way to creativity.

Turkish Migrant Workers Cultural Association: Capitalism destroyed the health care system

The Turkish Migrant Workers Cultural Association said: "The state of the health care system is the result of the policies of capitalism. Male-dominated capitalism itself is the virus! The liberation for humanity is to be found in socialism."

The statement added: "On 1 May let us sing and listen to the proletarian leaders who immortalized our marches in The International and Çav Bella. Let's celebrate our 1 May by paying attention to respect social distance in front of our workplaces, on our street and in our neighborhood."

ATIK: Streets, balconies and houses will be celebration areas

The European Confederation of Workers from Turkey (ATIK) said: "Every workplace, every house, every balcony and street will be turned into a celebration area on 1 May this year.

The workers will be the ones who are most affected by the consequenced of the coronavirus pandemic which is affecting the whole world."
