There is still no information on the whereabouts of Ali Maroufi and Milad Rashidi, two Kurdish civilians arrested by security forces in recent weeks.
Ali Maroufi, from Mahabad, West Azerbaijan Province, was arrested without a warrant by the Intelligence Organisation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on 28 October and was taken to an undisclosed location, the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) reported.
On the other hand, Milad Rashidi, 29, from Saqqez, Kurdistan Province, was arrested by the Ministry of Intelligence on 29 October while on his way to work.
Authorities later raided and searched Rashidi’s family home, confiscating several personal items.
His arrest is believed to be linked to a post he made on Instagram about “Israel’s attack on Iran”.
Since their arrest, neither Maroufi nor Rashidi have been allowed contact with their families or access to legal representation.
Despite the families’ persistent efforts to obtain information, the security and judicial authorities have refused to provide any details about their situation.
