Women prisoners on hunger strike are having serious health problems, reports say. The women in Şakran Women Prison sent a letter to Dicle News Agency (DİHA) about the problems being lived in prison and the situation of 9 inmates who are on hunger strike. "We have approached the prison administration through dialogue in order to talk through the problems we are facing and together trying to resolve them. Despite our approach, though, the prison administration remained inflexible and nothing has changed so far". The refusal to talk and solve the problems, led nine women to go on hunger strike.
