Women's delegation in South Kurdistan

A delegation of 30 women led by the HDK-HDP (People's Democratic Congress–People's Democratic Party) women's assemblies and DÖKH (Democratic Free Women's Movement) has arrived in South Kurdistan.

After gathering in Mardin yesterday before leaving for the visit under the slogan “Solidarity from Sinjar to Gaza”, the delegation crossed into South Kurdistan through the Habur border gate.

The delegation who is paying the visit in solidarity with the women from Sinjar includes CHP (Republican People's Party) MP Melda Onur, HDP deputies Selma Irmak, Sebahat Tuncel and Ayla Akat Ata as well as women journalists and representatives of non-governmental organizations.

Members of the delegation will have talks in South and West Kurdistan where they will also visit the women from Sinjar who took refuge in camps in both territories.
