The Workers’ Day celebration in Istanbul will take place at Bakırköy Market Area.

The decision was taken after the governor rejected the application to hold the demonstration in Taksim square. 

The 1 May Organizing Committee announced that it will celebrate Workers’ Day in Bakırköy Market Area. Hundreds of thousands are expected to join the demonstration.

A part from trade unions, the HDP and many civil society organisations will also join the celebration.
