The third phase of the Operation Wrath of Euphrates, which was launched for the liberation of Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor but was suspended for a week due to adverse weather conditions, has been accelerated again.

Wrath of Euphrates Operation Room released a written statement announcing that the military campaign is ongoing after a week-long suspension due to weather conditions.

According to the statement, the military campaign to be resumed from today on aims for the encirclement of the Raqqa city center. The statement by Wrath of Euphrates operation room said the followings:

"In the scope of our campaign to encircle Raqqa, we will first take the road leading from Raqqa to Deir ez-Zor under control, after which we will liberate the areas at the shore of the Euphrates River. The campaign will be carried out in coordination with the international coalition air support.

During this past week, our forces had the chance to make preparations for the realization of our plans. This is of importance in order not to break off during this fragile process we are being through. Our forces have completed their preparations and our fighters are in great joy and morale. We are waging a great struggle and war against the enemies of humanity. In this regard, we have full trust that SDF forces will finalize the military campaign with success. We want already to give the good news of the liberation of the region to all our people. To this end, we call upon our people to unite around SDF forces and to provide their support. The victory will be of all of us. We want everyone to know that we will be trying to transfer the civilians to safe areas with merest harm. We will do our best for this. Our priority is to free civilians from ISIS atrocity with least harm."
