Ehmed stated the followings:
"The ‘Wrath of the Euphrates' Initiative has left 4 days behind. We have so far advanced in line with the plan we had prepared for the operation. Our forces have cleansed many villages and hamlets of ISIS groups in the wake of heavy clashes.
Our forces are advancing to Raqqa from two directions. These are:
Siluk: Our forces moving in this direction have advanced 14 km and cleansed a large area around the Al-Heyawî and Leqta villages which are of strategic importance.
Ayn Îsa: Our forces moving in this direction have also advanced 14 km and liberated Abû Cîhad, Wehîd, Al-Ibêd, El-Sefa , Ebdullah, Etiye, Celîl, Qedriye, Ebdulhadî villages and many hamlets from gang groups.
43 ISIS members were confirmed killed during clashes and bodies of 12 of these were seized. Our forces also seized a number of arms and a large quantity of ammunition.
ISIS gangs attempted a car bomb attack 7 times but all these bomb-laden vehicles were destroyed by our forces. Two other suicide attacks were foiled before achieving the goal.
On the other hand, numerous civilians coming from Raqqa were granted access to safe areas."
Ehmed remarked that their forces will continue the resistance until Raqqa is entirely cleansed of gangs.
