23 people were taken into custody at an action organised in Kadıköy against the appointment of a trustee rector to Boğaziçi University last Wednesday. 

The 23 were brought to the Anatolian Courthouse in Kartal on Thursday. The prosecution demanded prison for 10 of the students and judicial control measures for the other 13.

The Criminal Magistrate's Office decided to impose judicial control measures to 11 peeople under house arrest and issued a travelling abroad ban for 9 others.

The court likewise decided to arrest Şilan Delibalta and Anıl Akyüz on the grounds of "Opposing the Law on Meetings and Demonstrations".
