Academics, who supported the protests carried out by Boğaziçi University students against the rector imposed by Presidential decree, once again turned their backs to the office of the rector.
Protests against the trustee rector Melih Bulu, appointed by decree by President Erdoğan to Boğaziçi University, have been going on for more than a month.
Staff and students demand the rector to be elected by university members and call for autonomy of the universities.
The academics, who support the students, came together again in front of the rector office in the South Campus and turned their backs to the office as they did in previous days. Academics called on Bulu to resign.
