Freiburg People's Assembly co-chair Halil Özel invited all Kurds living in the region to join the young people march in Freiburg today.
The "Condemnation of the International Conspiracy and Freedom for Öcalan" march, which started in the German city of Hanau on 5 February, reached Freiburg on Friday night. Freiburg is the last stop of the march and today German, Kurdish, Catalan and Spanish activists, who could not make their way to Strasbourg this year due to the epidemic, will end their action with a mass rally in the city.
Welcoming the marchers, the Freiburg People's Assembly has everything set up for the rally today. Co-chair Halil Özel said: “We cannot go to Strasbourg due to the circumstances. That's why we will do the final of the march here. For this reason, we invite all our people, especially women and youth living in the region, to join our march. The march will certainly resemble the one we used to do in Strasbourg. The spirit will be the same. Let's raise our voices.”
Emphasizing that they will spoil the inter-state conspiracy against Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan, Özel added: "We can only break the isolation and spoil the conspiracy with our actions. That is why we call on all our people living in Freiburg and the region to join the rally today."
Özel called on Kurds living in Europe to go out to the areas where they live and protest the conspiracy against the Kurdish people's leader.
